Long Time Coming

This improv top was developed during a retreat with Joe Cunningham.  I thought it would be a great opportunity to dense quilt the negative space but resisted finishing the quilt for a long time for fear of messing it up.  Around that same time I was returning to equestrian riding after many years away. I realized that with quilting & riding, there was more to be gained by trying rather than forever wondering if I could. With that, it was quilted and aptly named Long Time Coming.
