Long Time Coming

This improv top was developed during a retreat with Joe Cunningham. I thought it would be a great opportunity to densely quilt the negative space, but resisted finishing it for a long time for fear of messing it up. Around that time I was returning to equestrian riding after many years away. I realized that, with quilting and riding, there was more to be gained by trying than by forever wondering if I could. With that, it was quilted and aptly named Long Time Coming.
