Horse With No Name
I created this quilt to raise awareness about live horses being flown from Canada overseas in an inhumane conditions so that they can be slaughtered and consumed raw. While Justin Trudeau mandated the Canadian government to ban this horrible treatment of horse in 2021, it has yet to be passed in parliament. I urge everyone to help give these nameless horses a more humane existence. My fight is not about whether or not horse meat should be consumed, but about the appalling and inhumane treatment these animals endure when exported live. Please visit the Canadian Horse Defence Coalition to learn more about how you can help make a difference.
I titled this piece "Horse with No Name" to represent all the horses caught in this reprehensible end-of-life treatment.
