Horse With No Name

I created this quilt to raise awareness about live horses being flown from Canada overseas in inhumane conditions so they can be slaughtered and consumed raw. While Justin Trudeau mandated the Canadian government to ban this treatment in 2021, it has yet to be passed in Parliament. My fight is not about whether horse meat should be consumed, but about the appalling and inhumane treatment these animals endure when exported live.

I titled this piece Horse With No Name to represent all the horses caught in this reprehensible end-of-life treatment.
